What We Learned at Sage Transform

The biggest theme and most repeated term throughout Sage Transform this year was Artificial Intelligence (A.I.).  The entire news media is filled with references to generative A.I. like ChatGPT and other tools that make finding and organizing information in useful ways much easier than any previous generation of research and query/reporting tools.

In the world of accounting software like Sage Intacct, AI is already here.  Some of you may be using the GL Outlier Detection feature.  Others may have begun using the AI-powered AP automation functionality to automatically ingest vendor invoices into your Sage Intacct system.

Sage unveiled a new tool called Sage Copilot due to arrive in the product sometime later this year or in early 2025.  Sage Copilot is a real-time digital assistant that lives with you inside Sage Intacct that can gather and organize information you request.  It proactively monitors your data and notifies you of conditions that might warrant your attention. It can even analyze payment and receipt patterns for your vendors and customers to provide an extremely accurate cash projection.

This is just the beginning.  Leveraging the power of AI will make us all more productive and free us from the more repetitive, menial aspects of our jobs.  I encourage you to embrace the AI-powered functionality that exists in Sage Intacct today and to explore the new manifestations of it as it evolves in the product over the coming releases.
