Featured Consultant: Meet Jim Fuller, Sage 100 Consultant/Solutions Architect
Jim Fuller is a Sage Consultant/Solutions Architect from Akron, Ohio. Jim grew up in the rust belt, and even worked his way through college in an area steel mill. Jim has a bachelor’s degree in Business Finance and a bachelor’s degree in International Business from the University of Akron, but early entrepreneurial aspirations led him to start a series of IT related business even before graduation. That vocation lasted almost 3 decades, until he focused on life as an IT consultant. His IT experience and heavy use of Microsoft and Sage products led him to his former employer, which had a huge Microsoft client base and a smaller Sage base. His experience as a business owner and ERP user gives him a unique perspective and the advantage of seeing almost everything from both sides of the table. He enjoys helping clients articulate their needs and helping them see “what’s next”. At Net at Work, Jim is enjoying working with a team. He really appreciates the teamwork, and sense of mutual responsibility and respect he is finding here.
Outside of his consulting career, Jim enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife, Kelly, have 3 grown children and their first grandchild on the way for Christmas. They are also planning a wedding for their son in November.
Jim spends as much time outdoors as he can, and enjoys music festivals, fly fishing, hiking, gardening and restoring old cars. In the winter, Jim retreats to his basement and his electric train layout where there is always something under construction.
