Keeping You Up-To-Date With Information About Sage 100
From the Desk of the Sage 100 Consulting Manager, Lisa Margolies
I walk outside and still feel Summer is here (but I guess that’s what happens when you live in Florida)
But it does feel like we just celebrated Labor Day and now Halloween decorations are out in stores.
To me it seems as soon as Labor Day is over, the rest of the year goes by so quickly.
So, although we are not at the end of the year, the end of the year is nearing and that means a couple of things:
- Start Budgeting for next year
- Review Current year’s budget
- Start Year-End Preparation
1. Start Budgeting for 2025
2024 is going to roll past us quickly, and we need to start thinking about budgeting and planning tasks for next year.
Sage 100 has features built within the application that allows for multiple & unlimited budgets. Sage 100 allows for exporting and importing into Sage 100 as well as you can create a budget and then create budgets based off the original budget created. Most of us have various departments create their budgets and then have them imported back into Sage 100.
In addition to the standard Sage 100 budgeting features, there are other applications / tools that can be used to compliment Sage 100 that go beyond the standard features & reporting.
2. Review Current Year’s Budget
This is the time to look at your expenditures which were supposed to take place during the year and schedule those projects. Net at Work can assist with projects within Sage 100 as well as assist with efficiency & integration projects.
Remember to schedule as soon as possible since our calendars can get scheduled and we want to make sure we can account for everyone’s projects within their specified timelines.
3. Start Year-End Preparation
Please keep in mind that Sage only supports the current version which is version 2024 and 2 versions back (2023 and 2022); any version prior to 2022 is considered unsupported.
If you are on an unsupported version, please note that Net at Work will not be able to assist with standard year-end reporting except to assist with extracting the data in a format to allow you to upload to a service. So if you need to process Accounts Payable and / or Payroll Federal and State forms – 1099’s, W2’s, 940’s, you will be required to be on a supported version.
Remember that Net at Work is not the publisher but a partner for Sage.
Always remember that Net at Work is here to support you for all of your Sage 100 needs; please feel free to reach out to your Account Manager if you need assistance or have any inquiries.
