Sage 100 Quick Tips
By Brett Zimmerman, Senior Business Analyst / Consultant
Does it seem like your Sage 100 system has way too much data? Are you finding that certain tasks are sluggish and take extra time, e.g. lookup’s, reports, period/year-end processing, etc.? This simply could be a result of Sage 100 having to churn through lots and lots of data. When was the last time you reviewed this? Case in point, you may not realize it but you could easily have 15 years of A/R Invoice History. In most situations you really don’t need data that far back in your live company. Therefore, we recommend the following: create an Archive company, copy your live company to it, purge various data in the live company, and run the applicable Rebuild/Optimization Utilities.
