An Interview with Nicole Johnson, Account Manager
Serving our clients throughout North America, Account Manager Nicole Johnson makes her home on the Gulf Coast of Florida. She has over 10 years of experience with Net at Work dedicated to supporting customer’s HR needs through Sage HRMS and our cloud based offerings, while cultivating positive relationships with prospects and clients.
Nicole is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Business Management, plus a minor in Marketing. Prior to joining Net at Work, she has a strong background in both Human Resources and Account Management. Nicole also holds the Secretary position of her son’s elementary school’s Student Advisory Council.
“Building Relationships”
I started by asking Nicole how she saw her role as Account Manager. “Provide customer service, build loyalty and, most importantly, create a relationship of trust and respect with my clients”, she told me. Nicole builds those relationships by providing exceptional customer service for her clients. “I want to be able to do everything I can to help a customer to get what they need – from the software publisher, our Net at Work consultants and myself.” Nicole excels at keeping her clients informed of ‘what’s coming down the pipeline’ in terms of changes, new functionality and new ways to address their needs.
“I have to work with Nicole”
Nicole told me a great story of one of her clients, a payroll manager who she has worked with for many years. Even when this person left our client to work for another company, Nicole kept in touch with her thru LinkedIn – checking in with her, talking about how things were going, even inviting her to participate in our Net at Work ‘client-only’ events. When the payroll manager recently took a position with a company using Sage HRMS, she was dismayed to find out that they used another Business Partner. She immediately contacted Sage to have Net at Work assigned as their Business Partner and told her boss that she “wanted to work with Nicole Johnson, whichever BP she worked for.” Reuniting after five years, Nicole went on to assist the client in planning for their SQL migration, which began last month.
What would surprise your clients to find out about you?
Nicole was typically modest when I asked her this question, but eventually she revealed that over the last two years she has become a ‘Beach Body Coach’. In that role, she assists folks with achieving their health and fitness goals based on her own experience and those of others she has worked with. People who know Nicole know that with her as your coach, your success is assured.
What would be your favorite meal and who would you want to eat it with?
However, lest you think Nicole is all work and no play, she admitted that her favorite meal is pizza. She has a regular Friday night date with her seven-year-old son, Mason. Right now their popular choice is Hawaiian. (Although I did tease her that a truly authentic Hawaiian pizza would be made with spam, not Canadian bacon.)
It is hard to imagine a more dedicated advocate for her clients than Nicole, she truly puts the ‘care’ in Customer Care. I think her clients would agree.
