From the Desk of the Employer Solutions Practice Director
As we move into the holiday season, I want to take a moment and reflect on our continued commitment to support our customers, especially the non-profit community that we work with. Our team appreciates the commitment and dedication we see on a daily basis from the staff of these organizations; working to meet their stated mission, needing to operate effectively and efficiently given their often limited resources.
Non-profit organizations have the same staffing and operation challenges as any other business yet in many cases they need to be more creative in how they meet and address these issues. As I’ve experienced as a Human Resource Director within a large non-profit hospital, we needed to meet our business challenges while still abiding to our stated mission. Within a nonprofit organization, the business decisions need to all work to support the goals of the organization.
Within a non-profit organization, recruitment and retention is a critical part of the organization yet it is more important that everyone is working for the same goal. As the legendary baseball coach Casey Stengel said:
“Finding good players is easy. Getting them to play as a team is another story.”
Net at Work strives to continue its support of the non-profit community. We have dedicated much of this newsletter to that commitment and have scheduled webinars to help our non-profit community meet their human capital challenges.
In addition, we are excited to team up with Sage and the Sage Foundation to provide an additional level of support to the non-profit community. The Sage Foundation provides donated Sage Business Cloud licenses to eligible organizations, helping them to keep costs down and to run their organizations efficiently.
