Employer Solutions / HRMS Newsletter – November 2017
Keeping You Up-To-Date With Information About Employer Solutions / HRMS
From the Desk of the Employer Solutions Practice Director
It is hard to believe that year end is fast approaching and this will be our last Newsletter for 2017. With that, we understand that this can be a very busy time of year, both professionally and personally. Our hope is that we can help to ease some of the professional stress by offering training and webinars that will help you to conquer that mountain of year-end tasks that face you.
Over the last year, Net at Work has offered a weekly ‘lunch-and-learn’ series of free webinars. “Fast and Focused” has given Sage HRMS and Abra Suite users a focused session on a specific feature or functionality. Sessions last from 30 -45 minutes and have covered a variety of topics, including Crystal Report writing, system maintenance practices and setup and configuration.
Fast & Focused
Beginning this Fall, we are expanding Fast and Focused to discuss topics from our other HR products.
Topics have included:
- Posting Job Openings to Media using iRecruit
- Document Management for HR Process using Altec DocLink
- Qualifying Life Events in Infinity HR
- Creating Dashboards in Sage People
This provides a great opportunity to explore other product functionality or to gain additional experience using a product you already own. In addition, we are still presenting Sage HRMS / Abra Suite topics, including
- Termination and Benefits – best practices when off-boarding an employee.
- Events, Notes and Attachments – maximizing these screen contents and report
- Data Analytics: Determining Turnover costs.

If you have a suggestion for a topic or feedback about a past presentation, please contact Mark Boutilier at mboutilier@netatwork.com.
Training Sessions
In addition, we want to point out that we have training sessions scheduled to specifically help with year-end tasks: Sage HRMS ACA Reporting Training (offered 11/16/17 and again on 12/13/17), Sage Abra Suite Payroll Year End Training (offered 12/13/14) and Sage HRMS Payroll Year End Training (offered 12/14/17). Sage People HCM
One final note (well, almost). The Employer Solutions Practice at Net at Work has needed to adapt and evolve our solution offerings to meet the needs of our customers. As our customers’ business needs evolve to meet their competitive environments, so have our HRMS solutions.
Many of our customers are feeling the need for technology, especially within HR, that addresses the demands of managing a mobile, social and multi-generational 21st century workforce. We recently added Sage’s new HCM (Human Capital Management) solution called Sage People. We are excited about this offering because it addresses the needs of our customers for a cloud-based solution plus an HCM solution with strong analytic abilities.
The Sage People HCM solution is a leading cloud-based solution rich with features and functionalities. Net at Work has created a migration path whereby our customers can transition at their own pace and as their demands for this functionality grows. We are calling this lighter version Sage People Preferred and it provides our customers the opportunity to establish a sound base and foundation for their HCM and allows HR to act strategically in meeting their company’s business needs. We hope you take a minute to read the article here in this newsletter for more information on Sage People Preferred as well as all the other articles which we hope you find informational.
Staff Highlight
Speaking of informational articles, we highlight one of our staff in each newsletter. We do this so that our customers can get to know these folks that are ready to help. This month we highlight Dan Fahey, one of our Sage Certified Consultants and a person many of you have worked with.
Finally, from all of us at Net at Work, we wish you the happiest of holidays and thank you for your continued trust in us as we look forward to 2018.
