A little over five years ago Dresser & Associates, then one of Sage’s leading HRMS business partners, joined Net at Work. When Net at Work acquired Dresser & Associates, we were asked to help make the Employer Solutions Practice the most it could be.  It has been a very rewarding time for me, and I am proud of what the Practice has accomplished during this time.

Now, the time has come for me to step down as Practice Director of the Employer Solutions Practice. Several months ago, I indicated to Eddie and Alex Solomon, the Co-Presidents of Net at Work, that I felt it was time for me to step down and support Harold Ford to take over as Practice Director. Harold has been with me for several years, transitioning from Dresser & Associates to Net at Work in the acquisition.  Harold has served as Consulting Manager for the Practice and has been such an important part of this fabulous team. In addition, Harold is the past President of the Lancaster, PA SHRM Chapter. He is well prepared and will do an excellent job taking over the reins of the Employer Solutions Practice.

There is no question that HR technology matters now more than ever. In fact, the same could be true of the entire HR function. We live in a time that requires unprecedented levels of speed and agility, and there is even a greater need to recruit and retain top talent in order to grow our companies. Skill requirements have changed. With work from home the whole concept of teamwork has changed. We now must manage four distinct generations, with extremely different sets of values, in the same workforce at the same time. Technology is moving with lightning speed, so we must continually provide platforms for learning and development. Our obligation to create cultures and environments that value diversity and inclusion is more important now than ever. There has never been a more exciting time for HR professionals to make their mark on businesses.

The HR platform delivered by the Net at Work Employer Solutions Practice is unmatched by any other solution provider. The Practice I leave has no equal in the depth and breadth of solutions that it has to offer to customers and the level of expertise and commitment the team members deliver.

It has been an honor and privilege to work with this incredible team here at Net at Work and I will cherish the time and memories I have collected with them forever. I am also grateful for the terrific customers I have come to know and work with.

In closing, my team knows I gain a lot of inspiration from great sports coaches. I want to end my last newsletter with a quote from the legendary Green Bay Packer coach Vince Lombardi, which speaks to the mission, attitude and commitment of the Employer Solutions Team to continue its level of support for our customers.
