Sage Pro to Sage Accpac – What the Audience Said
We are still getting great feedback from our first “Sneak Peek” webinar – “Migrating your Sage Pro system to Sage Accpac.” Questions from our users were right on the money. They wanted to know about bringing over data from their current ERP / accounting system. (They can.) They wanted to know in a wide open field of choices from Sage Software, what features and add-ons might make Sage Accpac the right fit. (Lots of choices!)
They also asked about adding new fields to Sage Accpac so that they can capture and report information that is important to them, that might not otherwise have a “home” in a lower end (Tier 3) accounting system.
Best question of the session came from Parfum 1 in Long Island City, New York: “Can Sage Accpac ERP be customized?” Our answer, “Yes. With the Optional Fields module, you have complete support for unlimited user-defined fields throughout all Sage Accpac applications. You can track information from Sales order to Invoice and drill all the way to GL, defining your own tables and validations by text, amount, time, number, and logical Y/N.”
And for some, the notion that non-accounting data could be exposed to all users through the tight integration of Sage Accpac with Sage CRM, was a revelation! Customer Contracts and Product drawings, that could only be attached to the Customer or Item Maintenance, or worse – stored in a file with the wrong syntax – never to be retrieved again, can be linked to Sage CRM for retrieval by non-accounting users.
Cool beans!
