Over the years HR Departments have changed from areas where there was only the essential data that was tracked (i.e. hire date, review dates, typically on spreadsheets) to today, where the focus is trending to analytics.
The tools to help in this process have also changed. And most importantly so have the people who are looking at the data. Cue the Geeks, the people who analyze and interpret all this data.
